New products - organic children's toiletries
In all the excitement writing about the new organic baby foods in store I often forget to mention our other departments like nappies and toiletries. Our Moltex eco-friendly nappies were recently awarded as the best disposable nappy by channel 5 and are a firm favourite with many visitors to our shop in Tavistock as well as online shoppers. Personally, at home we use a combination of washables and Moltex and I can say from personal experience that they work great. They are made with the absolute minimum amount of chemicals and with no bleach (I can't believe how unnecessarily white a big-brand nappy now seems!). Best of they are about 70% biodegradable. You can also try our biodegradable wipes and nappy sacks. We also stock a lovely selection of organic toiletries for babies and children. With organically certified shampoo's, conditioners and shower gels for older kids from Green People and the full Weleda Baby range (beloved of celebrity babies all over the place) and even organic kids toothpaste its now easier than ever to keep your child's delicate skin lovely and clean without resorting to artifical chemicals and fragrances. Summers coming
All the sun in the last two weeks has put me in the holiday mood, and whilst on that subject, its good to share some products with you that are worth their weight in gold when on holiday. The first thing I pack is a thermos coolkidz food flask. This fantastic bit of kit will keep a toddlers meal hot for 6 hours and is invaluable on day trips. Small - its only about 13cm high - it holds almost 300ml of food. We've found it a godsend! The next on the list is the PHP chair harness (at the bottom of the page). Its just a piece of material, but it can turn virtually any chair into a highchair suitable for a baby from 6months up to a 2.5 year old toddler. We love the snack-trap - a clever spill-proof snack container that is perfect to hold snacks for a car journey or when out and about. For healthy snacks and packed lunches when on day trips why not try an ella's kitchen smoothie or one of our own Kiddies Kitchen organic dried fruit snack packs (raisins, cranberries, mangos, apple rings. New products - kid's cooking equipment
I'm delighted to unveil our new " cooking with kids" department. We've brought together the best products around for kids in the kitchen - aprons, mixing bowls, whisks, and spoons all the exact right size for enthusiastic budding Jamies and Delias. These are not toys - they are proper adult quality implements - just smaller and cuter! Add to that items like cookie cutter sets and ice lolly makers and there'll be no stopping them this summer. New products - the snack trap
