new products - Organix (organic baby foods)

They never let up at Organix. We've only just got over the excitement of the new organix soft rusks (and now in orange flavour) when word comes from Organix HQ in Dorset of a new addition to the finger foods range (suitable from 7 months). Now, in addition to the ever popular Crunchy Carrot Sticks and Sweetcorn Rings there is a new 20g bag of tomato flavour baked corn slices. Take look at our selection of Stage 2 weaning foods for other winning finger food ideas from Organix and other baby food producers.
As with all Organix baby foods they are certified organic and contain absolutely no added sugar, salt, artificial preservatives or colourings, in fact no junk at all! The really great thing is that they are less messy than the carrot sticks (which parents everywhere will know were the cause of many little orange finger marks around homes!) and still taste great.
Visit the www.kiddieskitchen.co.uk online shop for the latest availability on the whole Organix baby food range and for quick home delivery wherever you live!
There are also some new Organix First Cereals to add to the current range of banana porridge, baby rice, and muesli, which can be found here.

New products - bambu baby forks and spoons

Its taken a lot of tracking down but at last Kiddies Kitchen (specialists in organic baby food) can now offer a really green alternative to the usual plastic weaning spoon. Bambu source organically grown bamboo from China and use it to make really lovely little forks and spoons for babies and toddlers.

Finshed with food-grade oil to give a nice smooth finish you can even put them through the dishwasher (apparently!). A lovely little gift as well, at only £5.99 for a twin pack of first spoons and forks or £3.99 for a slightly bigger version that is good for older toddlers.
We've been looking for some organic baby cutlery for ages so I'm delighted that we now have it in stock.

More frozen organic baby food and toddler food now available to mail order

Sometimes life is too short to be steaming and pureeing all your own baby food. In our opinion frozen organic baby food is the closest thing available to home made baby food, and thats why at Kiddies Kitchen we've made it our mission to find the best frozen organic baby food and deliver it safely to your door. All the frozen food we stock is certified organic, none of it contains any artificial preservatives, additives or "junk". many have won awards for their taste and the quality of their ingredients.

Our ranges include frozen fruit and vegetable purees from Goodness Knows! These are available as 60g servings of individual fruits and vegetables - there are 9 in total: Apple, pear, sweet potato, squash, cauliflower, broccoli, carrot, parsnip and swede. At 99p each they are good value for money as well.

For 6 months and above we stock the well-known Truuuly Scrumptious organic babyfood range. These are complete meals in a microwavable pot. The 140g serving size is ideal for younger babies and there is a choice of excellent recipes. We see these as the absolute best pre-prepared meals for this age range.

One year olds enjoy an ever increasing range of meal options and we now have ranges from 3 manufacturers: Miniscoff, Truuuly Scrumptious and now Juniorganics all produce really tasty meals with real ingredients and no junk. All these meals are around the £3 mark.

A word about delivery of our frozen baby food: Frozen meals are kept in our storage freezers at up to -23C and we take extra special care to ensure that they reach you in perfect still-frozen condition. To achieve this we use special polystyrene food cases and ice packs to pack your order and send them by overnight courier. The delivery charge of £10 for a frozen food order reflects the extra cost of this packaging and the courier charges.

We're back blogging!

Well, the kids are back at school and I can take a break from packing web orders of lunchboxes and thermos food flasks so its time to crank up the blog again to tell you all about the new products that have arrived in store over the last couple of months.

First off, lets mention our new look Kiddies Kitchen website - thanks to Jumbo Designs for their fantastic work in producing what I think is a great looking new design for the site! Hopefully you'll find that the new site not only looks great but is easier to navigate and much easier to purchase from! We no longer use Paypal but instead you can now pay using your credit card like a proper site....hurrah!

The second announcement is to give a big hello to www.lunchboxesetc.co.uk , our new niche website specialising in high quality lunchboxes. Not just for kids, we've found the most useful and stylish lunchboxes and accessories including fruity faces, beakers, thermoses and some healthy snacks to go in them as well. Our biggest seller at the moment is the simple plain plastic lunchbox (made in the UK) and available in 6 colours. Apparently lots of other people out there agree with us that sometimes you just need a break from all those licenced character lunchboxes! Why not take a look at the site - for the best selection of lunchboxes around.....www.lunchboxesetc.co.uk.
